Quilted puffers, coach jackets and windbreakers
Separate shell fabric weight from insulation fill weight when comparing a puffer quote. Include the quilting pattern, fill direction, lining and finished measurements. A windbreaker or coach jacket needs a different brief.
A DWR finish is a water-repellent treatment; it does not establish a waterproof garment rating. State any required performance tests, seam treatment and hardware brand before material sourcing and sample approval.

Develop the craft around the garment
Specify the whole material stack
A puffer or quilted jacket is more than its outer shell. Define lining, fill type and weight, quilting or baffle layout, internal finish and pocket reinforcement. A coach jacket or windbreaker may use a different construction route and needs its own brief.
DWR is water repellency, not a waterproof rating
A DWR finish helps define a water-repellent surface requirement; it is not proof that a garment is waterproof. If waterproof performance is required, define the material, seam construction, test method and acceptance target for separate feasibility review.
Control hardware and packing
Specify zipper type, gauge, length, puller and snap dimensions. If YKK is required, confirm genuine sourcing and the exact component before sampling. Review carton volume, compression limits and presentation so freight planning reflects the actual garment.

Buyer questions about Quilted Jackets & Outerwear
Does a DWR coating make a jacket waterproof?
No. Water repellency and waterproof garment performance are different requirements. Agree the fabric, construction and testing needed for the claim you intend to make; do not treat a DWR request as a completed waterproof test.
Can you source YKK zippers and custom snap hardware?
Include the required brand, type, size, finish and reference. Genuine sourcing, availability, setup, component minimums and the exact approved sample are reviewed before the hardware is committed.
Can I order a custom quilted puffer in a low quantity?
Send the shell, lining, fill, quilting, hardware and size requirements. The minimum is quoted after those material and construction conditions are reviewed; a universal 20- or 50-piece promise is not assumed for technical outerwear.
Is 15–22 days guaranteed for every jacket?
No. That is a planning target after approvals and confirmed inputs. Specialized shell finishes, custom hardware, insulation or quilting trials can change material and production timing, which is stated in the project quotation.
